ABOUT LUMO MIC
More than a stage.
LUMO MIC is a curated live vocal showcase and artist discovery platform presented by LUMO Music, bringing together vocalists, singer-songwriters, and emerging artists from diverse musical backgrounds.
Featuring eight selected vocalists and six curated Open Mic opportunities, LUMO MIC creates a space for live performance, artistic collaboration, and meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
Rooted in New York's multicultural music scene, the platform welcomes voices across languages and genres, with a special focus on bringing Chinese-language music to wider audiences.

THE EXPERIENCE
One Night. Different Ways to Be Heard.
LUMO MIC brings together a curated Artist Showcase and a selected Open Mic, creating different opportunities for artists to share their voices on the same stage.
ARTIST SHOWCASE
Eight selected vocalists and singer-songwriters will each present two solo songs, showcasing their musical identities and personal styles. Artists will also have opportunities to explore collaborative performances, bringing different voices together through live music.
OPEN MIC
Six Open Mic performance slots offer another opportunity to take the stage. Applicants not selected for the main Showcase may opt into an additional eligibility review using their submitted audition videos.
Approved participants with a valid GA ticket may enter the on-site lottery for the six performance slots. Approval does not guarantee a performance opportunity.
HOW TO APPLY
Complete the official application form with your contact information, a short artist biography, and a video showcasing your live vocal ability.
Your audition video should include a complete song or at least 90 seconds of continuous singing. Professional recording equipment is not required, but vocals must be clearly audible.
APPLICATION FEE — $50
The application fee supports artist selection, event production, and technical coordination. Submission and payment do not guarantee selection for the Showcase.
Applicants not selected for the Showcase will receive one General Admission (GA) ticket for personal use.
A limited number of discounted Early Bird applications may be available during the Open Call period.

WHAT HAPPENS next
EVERY APPLICATION IS REVIEWED BY THE LUMO MIC TEAM.
Selected artists will receive an official invitation to participate in the LUMO MIC Showcase along with performance details, rehearsal information, production requirements, and next steps.
Applicants who are not selected for the Showcase may still be considered for Open Mic eligibility if they have opted into the Open Mic review process.
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection.

WHAT SELECTED ARTISTS RECEIVE
01. Two Solo Performances
Perform two solo songs at DROM that showcase your unique musical identity. Chinese-language repertoire is encouraged, alongside English-language and original music.
02. Artist Collaboration Opportunities
Connect with fellow selected vocalists and explore collaborative performances. Duet arrangements may be added to the final program following rehearsal and approval.
03. Group Rehearsal & Vocal Coaching
Participate in a group rehearsal and receive vocal coaching to refine your performance and prepare for the Showcase.
04. Professional 4K Video & Multitrack Audio Recording
Your live performance will be professionally recorded in 4K video with front-of-house (FOH) multitrack audio. Material delivery and post-production arrangements will be announced separately.
05. Individual Artist Features
Receive individual artist features and promotional exposure through LUMO's official website and WeChat Official Account.
06. Chinese & English Music Media Promotion
Be part of LUMO MIC's event-wide promotion and media outreach to Chinese- and English-language music outlets.
07. LUMO Vocal Certificate 2026
All selected Showcase artists will receive an official LUMO Vocal Certificate 2026 in recognition of their participation.
OPEN MIC OPPORITIES
Not selected for the Showcase? You can still be part of the experience.
Applicants not selected for the main Showcase will receive one General Admission (GA) ticket for personal entry to LUMO MIC 2026.
Applicants who opt into the Open Mic review may use their original audition video for consideration, with no additional submission required. Approved applicants will be notified and may participate in an on-site lottery for six available performance slots.
Selected Open Mic performers will also receive professional 4K video and FOH multitrack audio recording. Material delivery and post-production arrangements will be announced separately.
Open Mic eligibility approval does not guarantee a performance slot.
